  • 4-6 medium-sized russet potatoes
  • Salt and pepper to taste

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 450˚F and line a baking sheet with parchment paper or a silicone baking mat.
  2. Slice the potatoes into long, thin strips about 1/4″ wide, soak them in ice water for 5-10 minutes, and then pat them dry with a paper towel.
  3. Layout the potatoes evenly on the lined baking sheet and season as desired.
  4. Bake for 15-20 minutes, then flip the potatoes and bake for 15-20 more minutes until the potatoes start to turn golden brown and crispy.
  5. Enjoy!

Air Fryer Instructions

  • Basket Style Air Fryer: Load the basket up with the cut fries and pile them on top of each other. Cook the potatoes at 400˚F for 20 minutes. Then, stop and shake the potatoes to mix them up and cook another 20 minutes. Use a wooden spoon or spatula to stir them around a bit if you need to.
  • Toaster Oven Air Fryer: Place a piece of parchment paper on the baking pan and spread the cut potatoes evenly. Cook the potatoes at 400˚F for 15 minutes, stop and flip the potatoes with a spatula, and then cook for 15 more minutes.
