Ingredients

Scale
  • 4 teaspoons chili powder
  • 2 teaspoons paprika
  • 2 teaspoons ground cumin
  • 1 teaspoon oregano
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • salt to taste

Instructions

  1. Combine chili powder, cumin, paprika, garlic powder, onion powder, cayenne pepper, and salt if using, in a small bowl. Whisk to combine.
  2. Store in an airtight container.

Notes

Paprika: smoked or sweet paprika works. It really is about your taste preference.

Cayenne Pepper: I have found that 1/2 teaspoon adds just the right amount of spice. But, you can adjust this to suit your taste.

Salt: use sparingly and you can keep the sodium extremely low or simply eliminate it altogether.
