Vegan Bulgogi (Korean BBQ Beef)

Spicy, sweet, and savory Vegan Bulgogi (Korean BBQ Beef) made with soy curls. This meatless version of a traditional Korean beef dish is so easy to make and just as tasty as the real thing. Oil-free and easily made gluten-free.

Ingredients You'll Need

– 2 cups of soy curls – ½ medium onion, sliced – ¼ cup low-sodium soy sauce  – 3 tablespoons of maple syrup – 1 tablespoon rice vinegar – 3 cloves garlic, minced – 2 teaspoons red pepper flakes – 1 teaspoon ground ginger – ½ tsp black pepper – 1 teaspoon corn starch

Start Prepping Ingredients

Prep soy curls according to package directions. Preheat a large nonstick skillet over medium heat and make marinade then set aside.

Sauté Onions & Soy Curls

Sauté the onions then add the soy curls, toss together, and cook for 5-7 minutes.

Marinade & Browning

Pour the marinade over soy curls and cook until sauce thickens. Then, add browning sauce and cook for 2-3 more minutes.

Plate & Serve

Serve over fresh rice and garnish with chopped green onions and sesame seeds.
