This creamy, tangy, and flavorful homemade vegan tartar sauce is loaded with fresh dill, sweet relish, and a hint of dijon. Perfect with vegan crab cakes, fries, vegan fish sticks, and more. Quick, easy, and made with simple ingredients!

Ingredients

  • 1 cup creamy cashew mayonnaise
  • 1/4 cup sweet pickle relish (sub dill or sweet pickles)
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon prepared yellow mustard or Dijon mustard
  • salt and pepper to taste
  • Optional: chopped fresh dill

Instructions

  1. Combine all ingredients into a small bowl and stir everything together.
  2. Taste and season with salt and pepper as needed.
  3. Serve with vegan fish sticks, onion rings, or use in place of your favorite condiment on sandwiches.
  4. Store any leftovers in the fridge in a jar or airtight container for up to 5 days.

  • This delicious vegan tartar sauce is even better once it’s had time to chill a bit. So, if you know you’re going to be needing it, whip up a batch a day or two ahead of time.
  • You can store leftovers in a covered container in the refrigerator for up to one week.
