Green Powerhouse Summer Smoothie

We all know spinach, kale, pineapple, mango and banana are powerhouses on their own. But, combine them and you have one kick ass concoction. Check this out!

Mango and pineapple fight heart disease, macular degeneration, cancer, asthma, diabetes and great for bone health.

Spinach is an excellent source of vitamin K, vitamin A (in the form of carotenoids), manganese, folate, magnesium, iron, copper, vitamin B2, vitamin B6, vitamin E, calcium, potassium and vitamin C. Additionally, it’s a good source of omega-3 fatty acids, niacin, pantothenic acid and selenium.

Kale can help boost wellbeing and prevent a range of health problems. It contains fiber, antioxidants, calcium, and vitamin K. And, it’s also a good source of vitamin C and iron.

Bananas are rich in fiber, antioxidants and several nutrients. And, they help to moderate blood sugar levels, aid in digestion, support heart health and a great food to consume while exercising.

Hey, Shane. Just made this today. It’s a keeper! Very refreshing and so tasty. I used canned pineapple chunks, a frozen banana and just a cup of chilled water. Also, I listened to your podcast last night. Loved it! Your intro hit home and I got a little teary-eyed but it was uplifting as well. Thank you so much for doing what you do. I appreciate it very much. Looking forward to listening to more episodes and, of course, trying more recipes. 🙂 Best of health to you and yours.

Didn’t have a ripe banana. Made it anyway. Very good. Looking forward to adding banana next time and kicking it up a notch.
