Cream cheese and sausage dip has been around for decades. But this vegan version is sure to make meat lovers smile and be the hit of the party. Oil-free, dairy-free, and absolutely delicious! Vegan Cream Cheese and Sausage Dip.
The Super Bowl is right around the corner and all of your guests will be expecting some stellar munchies. And, I just happen to have the perfect recipe for you. Vegan Cream Cheese and Sausage Dip!!!
Let me just say this ain’t your mama’s queso. I would go as far as to say that it would be an insult to refer to this Rotel dip as queso. Yeah, I said it.
This amazing spicy sausage dip is made with Kite Hill cream cheese style spread, Rotel tomatoes, and my vegan sausage crumbles. I hate to use this analogy, but it’s like straight-up crack. Don’t be surprised if the bowl gets licked clean and everyone ignores the game.
It’s time to get your game face on and make it!
Ingredients
The recipe is assuming you’ve premade the sausage and/or cream cheese if not using Kite Hill. So, the total time of the recipe may vary depending on those factors.
- Sausage Crumbles: 1 batch of my Easy Vegan Sausage Crumbles or Vegan Italian Sausage Crumbles.
- Cream Cheese: I used an 8 oz package of Kite Hill Cream Cheese. It’s oil-free, uses simple ingredients, and the taste is so authentic. But, you can use my cashew cream cheese if you prefer. It’s pretty amazing as well.
- Tomatoes & Green Chilies: I LOVE no salt added Ro-Tel tomatoes. But, you can use diced tomatoes and chopped green chilies.
How To Make Vegan Cream Cheese and Sausage Dip
Vegan cream cheese and sausage dip is so easy to make and the perfect party dip or appetizer.

- Reduce heat to low and cook for 1-2 minutes (just until everything is hot).

That’s it! Now, just whip it up and serve it with these healthy baked chips or fresh veggies. Try it with sliced cucumber or celery. The flavor combination is amazing!
Enjoy!
Notes and Tips
- Make the sausage crumbles and cream cheese the night before. This will save you a few minutes.
- Garnish with grilled onions, sliced jalapeño peppers, or my vegan bacon bits.
- If you want to take this over the top you can bake it the oven after cooking it on the stove. The edges will crisp and bring out even more flavor. Simply heat the oven to 400˚F, spoon into a round baking dish, and bake for 10 minutes. Perfection.
- Serve in a crockpot on the low setting during a party or gathering to keep warm.
Storage
Leftovers should be placed in an airtight container and stored in the refrigerator for 4-5 days.
Unfortunately, this recipe does not freeze well. But, it’s best when fresh and I doubt you’ll have any leftover anyway.

Hi Shane – I am getting ready to try this but wondered if I could use impossible savory sausage as a timesaver instead of making my own? If so, how much cooked sausage would I use?
Thank you
Amy
Hi, Amy! Yes, you can do that but it would a lot more fat and oil to the recipe. However, it will work. You would use 1 14-ounce pack.
This is so tasty and was a hit among several omnivores last evening. I will certainly dip this again. Thank you Shane!
