  • Dressings and sauces: The life of any delicious sandwich is the sauce or condiment. It brings life, texture, and, most importantly, flavor! My go-tos, in no particular order: vegan mayo, Dijon mustard,  homemade vegan cheese sauce, creamy hummus, cream cheese, or BBQ sauce. 
  • Seasonings: Depending on the type of veggies you use in your sandwich, seasonings and spices are a great way to add flavor. You can’t go wrong with garlic powder, Italian seasoning, nutritional yeast, and everyone’s favorite, basil. Salt and pepper is never a bad option.
  • Vegan sandwich fillings: When it comes to what to stuff between your bread, it’s limitless. But here are just a few suggestions: creamy avocado, bell peppers, fresh veggies, alfalfa sprouts, sliced tomato, spring onion, and more.
  • Mock meats: We all want substance in our sandwiches, and dare I say it, something “meaty.” But that doesn’t mean we have to succumb to animal products or store-bought crap. Soy curls, jackfruit, tempeh, and tofu are all excellent options. Not to mention, an excellent source of plant-based protein.
